| Description: | Software radio is rapidly becoming the key technology in government, research and commercial applications. This presentation illustrates how the performance of a software radio system is optimized by utilizing FPGAs in combination with Motorola's Power PC and TI's C6000. FPGAs can extend feature sets and enhance performance to tackle tough real-time applications. Strategies for taking advantage of FPGAs in software radio systems are presented along with a cell phone monitoring and recording system design example. |
