Since programming DSPs for Real Time embedded systems is quite different from writing programs for a typical workstation, we'll start the seminar with a checklist of questions that will help you decide which tools are the most appropriate for you. Then we'll evaluate some tradeoffs in using Operating Systems and Code Generators and then some general guidelines for Real Time System Design. We'll also talk about Code Longevity and how to preserve the value of the code you write for your next system. Then we'll take you through the steps of a typical C code programming cycle showing what each tool does and why it's needed. Finally, we'll look at some specific products from Pentek, including two new powerful offerings. Let's go to Slide 3, please.
