Pentek Introduces a New Family of PCI Express Boards

  • Routing flexibility designed for communications, software radio, radar, telemetry, and signal intelligence applications
  • Gen 2 PCI Express half-length x8 interface
  • Latest PC and blade server compatibility
  • Direct FPGA connectivity and IP development tools

The 7800 series is the latest family of Pentek SDR products to feature the PCI Express (PCIe) form factor with advanced connectivity options. Pentek's new series comprises: the Models 7841, 7842, 7850, 7851, 7852, 7856 and 7890. With a wide range of I/O performance features and FPGA configurations, customers can choose exactly what they need for very cost-effective, high-density solutions.

The Model 7841 included two 125 MHz, 14-bit A/Ds and two 500 MHz 16-bit D/As. It features one TI/Graychip GC4016 quad DDC (digital downconverter) with output bandwidths up to 10 MHz, one DUC (digital upconverter) and one Virtex-II Pro FPGA. For more information for Model 7841, click here. Model 7841
The Model 7842 includes four 125 MHz, 14-bit A/Ds, one DUC and one 500 MHz 16-bit D/A. The 7842 architecture also includes two Virtex-4 FPGAs. For more information for Model 7842, click here. Model 7842
The Model 7850 includes four 200 MHz, 16-bit A/Ds, up to 1.5 MB of SDRAM, and two Virtex-5 FPGAs. For more information for Model 7850, click here. Model 7850
The Model 7851 includes four 200 MHz, 16-bit A/Ds and a 256-channel DDC with decimation from 128 to 1024 and independent tuning for each channel. This represents a tremendous amount of processing in a single PCIe slot. For more information for Model 7851, click here. Model 7851
The Model 7852 includes four 200 MHz, 16-bit A/Ds, and a 32-channel DDC with decimation ranges from 16 to 8192 and independent 32-bit DDC tuning for each channel. Ideal for a wide range of applications with bandwidths fro 20 kHz to 10 MHz. For more information for Model 7852, click here. Model 7852
The Model 7856 includes two 400 MHz, 14-bit A/Ds, One DUC with two 800 MHz, 16-bit D/As and two Virtex-5 FPGAs. For more information for Model 7856, click here. Model 7856
Also included in this introduction is the Model 7890 Multifrequency Clock Synthesizer. The 7890 generates synthesized clock signals with low phase noise and jitter, suitable for driving high-performance A/D and D/A converters. For more information for Model 7890, click here. Model 7841
