Vibration and Acoustics

Systems for vibration and acoustic analysis require data acquisition products capable of digitizing signals ranging from below 1 Hz up to several hundred kHz, depending on the application. Modal analysis normally requires several channels with well-defined phase characteristics and good channel-to-channel matching. Anti-aliasing filters are usually needed to avoid aliasing of higher frequency components. Floating-point processors are often preferred to help preserve dynamic range.
