Radar

Radar systems require high bandwidth A/D converters with sampling rates up to 100 MHz and higher. Extremely fast data paths are required to transfer, store and process this data. Triggering or gating circuitry is often required to digitize these pulse waveforms at precisely the right time. In some cases, a wideband digital receiver is required to translate the IF signal down to baseband. Signal processing is usually best handled with fast, fixed-point engines.
